sensory data and agency

every input is sensory data, even if you intuit on them
inferring from sensory data doesn't mean your result is rational, you're not aware of the function

philosophy doesn't need to be practical
but a philosopher must be

first step is agency
you need to be able to look at your life's content and do changes if necessary
agency is keeping up with the rhythm as much as it's the ability to navigate between songs

you can be evil and have a value system
in fact everyone has a value system
you may not be aware of it tho
some call it soul's calling, "the vow you made before you born"
idk I haven't read much about this
but it sound implausible to me
and disrespectful to our ability
to soak in and integrate from the day we born

soul doesn't need to precede the body
we are perfectly capable of forging a soul
almost in a blink of an eye

virtousness is always restraining but never ascetic
virtousness needs lifemaxxing
meaning is generated by growth + coherence + connection
a virtous man needs to have connections
which produce real life events
which tests his virtues
and by this tests
either he will fail to act virtously -> virtue needs to tempered -> growth
or he succeeds -> aligned with the value system -> coherence

as the saying goes "if it's easy, you are not learning"
ascetism if comforting even if it's agonizing
it tests virtues in the same way, repeatedly
either through self-sacrifice, repression of desires or physical pain
first it's foreign and challenging
but after a while you learn the system
you can learn to bear the extreme agony
to run away from the agony of being virtous every fucking second
to hide away from the disorientation of a test that surprises your bones
remember sisyphus worked hard in each second of his life
while rolling up that boulder
